Report: Cuba's cadre of classic American cars in danger?

Apr 15th 2011 6:06PM (Autoblog)
"Typical NPR "love the Communist" ideology."

I didn't pick up on that at all. I read an article about how a near-as-makes-no-difference fascist government is loosening up a bit and is going to let people buy houses and cars. Y'know, 'cuz cars are cool. Didn't come across as the author writing "this is the way it augh'ta be lads."

Good for the Cubans. Even though a lot about the country sounds not fun at all at least the government might let'em pick up some wheels

um yeah, I agree. My problem isn't with Flash, Silverlight or any other runtime. My main point was by Apple keeping Flash off iStuff, providing that competition, development of Flash and HTML5 has been accelerated

I get people hate Apple, and it's a shame that people take a pro-flash stance just because Apple isn't happy with it. HTML5 isn't ready to replace Flash for a lot of reasons, but they're not anything some attention and development won't fix.
Most of the interactivity and video playback on the web is dependent on one company's runtime. I consider that a problem. HTML5 is a path to remove that dependence. While Apple get's heat for not allowing flash in it's bid to move media and interactivity from this one company, the competition and smacktalk certainly lit a fire under Adobe to prove them wrong. I think we're all benefitting from the spat these companies are having. Adobe is buckling down to Flash more efficient and Apple is pushing HTML5 development faster than nearly anyone else, save Google.
Google used to be big proponent of an HTML5 only future, but now is including Flash to dick with Apple and gain a bullet point for Android. Yes people, companies are competing and the free market is working.

You better let Apple know they still allow app installation from websites. I mean, geez, they're giving developers a way around the App Store. It's not going along with they're draconian policies. It was their original plan for apps I know, but I think we would all agree that it doesn't go along with their new evil image that the fanboiis11!!!1 LoLLoLoL are all defending.

oh man, you have your pricing way wrong and Joanna liked the Vaio Z. "those willing to pony up for Sony's mastery of style and substance will find the Z to be well worth it.
