You think they'd bother porting Yakuza to 360 if they dont anticipate it doing that great in the West anyway? We'll be lucky to get a localisation at all, they aren't going to invest months of time porting something for no reason.

There's a good reason it's PS3 exclusive; despite a few hiccups lately the PS3 is still a massively bigger install base in japan, and this is going to sell astronomically well there. Here it would be a niche thing at best.

Dial up? I don't think you're the target market, half of the features wouldn't work with that slow a connection. it's never taken me more than a couple of minutes to download even the big areas (japan's home square is pretty giant)

To go /below/ the pad you'd have to RAISE the PS controller though, which is worse as then you're not holding it by anything..

Obviously different things work on different shaped controllers with different weights. This will be fine, and easily as functional as thr 360 messenger kit (which i love btw, and bought one as soon as i found out about it!).

This is really the ONLY way a kb like this could work on the ps3 controller due to its shape. Unless you wanted everyone to have the control slip out of their hand or give them all RSI..

The 360's "below controls" thing worked because the control was already longer and chunkier at the bottom. This way makes just as much sense as their layout, and would be perfectly comfortable to use.. Just mimic the motions with a PS control, it's fine, certainly less stressful than going downward.

Maybe for localisation reasons, in the US and Jap versions they only have to support one language each.. in the Euro ones they have to support 3 to 5, sometimes more.. Seems some devs leave it until late to do.. In that sense it kind of sucks to be in the UK, as we would be fine with just the US version rebranded as a UK version. :/

And you can; bowl, voice chat, create avatars, emote/interact, play chess, decorate your home space, go shopping(sort of), play at least 3 different arcade machines, play pool.. Start custom Warhawk sessions, make friends.. There are always a lot of people online (though sometimes you have to jump to other nations servers to get the big groups, but that's only because it's beta so there aren't 1000s of people on at a time..)

Some of the comments about Home annoy me, the overly critical closed mindedness of certain observers is the exact reason Sony are taking so long making sure they get it right.. Then you get into the beta and complain that there's "nothing to do?"

1) Yes there is. 2) It's not finished yet.

As an Amiga old timer it's great to see a "game" (or interactive demo/art piece) giving props to all the demo scene groups.. This makes perfect sense..A bit of a funny way to do it, but at east it means people might read them, haha.

Just most of them don't tell you how to unlock them. XD
