Kinect-controlled Netflix available today on Xbox 360
Apr 14th 2011 1:33PM (Joystiq)Yes, the controller is faster but then again you have to pick it up, find it, get it out of the cabinet or ask your wife where she hid it because you have been playing games to much.
Instead you say a command it Kinect does it. Laying down on the couch, sitting back in your favorite recliner so no need to get up etc.

Apr 7th 2011 10:52AM (Joystiq)Be patient, thats the problem with gamers. Never pick up new tech if you expect an explosion of games. I am sure MS will have quite a number of Kinect games to show off at E3.

Mar 24th 2011 5:08PM (Joystiq)He is a 21 year old kid who already beat one huge corporation on doing the same thing he did with the PS3, yeah I can see him taking a vacation. Also this is pre trial stuff. It's not like it's a criminal case or even tried yet.
Geohot's lawyer responds to Sony's South America accusations
Mar 24th 2011 3:51PM (Joystiq)Who said anything about siding with anyone. I said it's a two edge sword just like Freedom of Speech. You get the good with the bad but if you want to keep your rights you accept both. The reason I use freedom of speech is because you have the same situations where someone can use their right to say something you either do not believe, agree with or may consider wrong. Saying that you only want to accept one without the other is being narrow minded.
My point is that if I have a right, than I rather continue to have that right even if some will use that right in a way I would not. Just because I do not like what someone else does, doesn't make my point of view any more valid then theirs. You say you are a advocate of Consumer Rights but it only sounds like you are an advocate if it aligns with your point of view. The key is that your point of view doesn't equate to the Millions of people that live in the US.
Geohot's lawyer responds to Sony's South America accusations
Mar 24th 2011 3:20PM (Joystiq)The point is that you cannot blame Geohot for cheating on PSN when the problem already existed. The point is that you or anyone else do not know if this hack will increase more cheating. Why would it increase more cheating. People who cheat will still cheat and people who do not don't. You may have different ways to cheat but increase probably not especially since Sony appeared to have solved that problem with the latest update. The point is that MS and other companies can deal with their hack problems, what makes Sony any special.
Also, Consumer Rights is the same as Freedom of speech. It's a two edge sword that I am more than happy to live with. Yes, people have the right to tamper with their system and share it with others. Those other people can use it for their own purpose or grief other people. It's something you live with because not having those rights is much worst. While it may be BS to you, I hope you have the chance to experience not having those rights, maybe your outlook would be different.
Geohot's lawyer responds to Sony's South America accusations
Mar 24th 2011 3:00PM (Joystiq)Yeah, because before Geohot, there was NO cheaters and morons spoiling the fun of rightioues PS3 gamers. PLEASE... You can blame Geohot for being a attention getting moron but blaming him for cheating problems on PSN when there has been cheating problems before his hack seems quite stupid.
As for the TOS and EULA, they hold as much water has a piece of paper with nothing on it. If you noticed, the lawsuit doesn't even mention the EULA or TOS but instead used the Anti Fraud and DMCA. Even using the DMCA, Sony has to show that Geohot did what he did for profit which is why they are trying to pin his Paypal account to the hack. If Sony cannot show that Geohot hack was done to damage Sony or for profit, they will lose the case.

Mar 22nd 2011 4:45PM (Joystiq)Have any of you thought that maybe the multiplayer demo was a way for Crytek to test out the net code and certain gameplay aspect but is not representative of the full game. This multiplayer demos usually are just that and as been said many times do not represent the singleplayer game.
