Rockstar's Table Tennis is no joke

Apr 3rd 2006 7:36AM (Joystiq)
Well, I couldn't decide whether to laugh or feel excited during that overview of the game o_O I think I should be excited, and I guess I sort of am, but I have one major problem. I love Ping-Pong, I play every day, I own a table and it's easily accessible on my porch. My parent's join in on a game quite frequently. This game might be realistic and entertaining, but I just don't see any of us favoring the game over the real version o_O Since I would personally rather play on my porch in a real game, and I'm having trouble convincing my parents to even try the Revolution, I don't see this being a good family-time thing o_O Somebody want to point out a real advantage in playing the game versus the real thing, for those who own a ping-pong table? Seems to me that as an avid Ping-Pong player, I'd be their key target, but I just don't care that much o_O

NBC pulls Four Kings

Mar 21st 2006 10:20PM (AOL TV)
Actually it sounds like a stupid overreaction but, this may be the final straw that makes me give up TV. Every single time I start to really anticipate a new show, it gets pulled. other than How I Met Your Mother, I've never had so much fun laughing at a traditional sitcom with my whole family. The episodes on this show were starting to get REALLY good. Seth Green was probably the weak point, but the dumb kid (admittedly I can't remember any character's names) is absolutely perfect. If it weren't for Scrubs, The Office, and How I Met Your Mother, I don't think I'd need to own a TV anymore -_-

Super Bowl XL: The Rolling Stones

Feb 6th 2006 8:22AM (AOL TV)
"So old even Mom and Dad don't like them"? That's horribly ignorant of you. I've just recently turned 17, and I happen to be a big fan of the Stones, as well as a hundred other 60's groups. Heck, I've even got music from before their time. Don't judge something on it's age like that. You need to broaden your musical tastes, a lot. Try judging music on the things that matter, talent, vocals, lyrics, and the like.

Personally I thought this was the best half-time show for the Super Bowl, since I started watching 6-7 years ago. Despite his age, Mick still moves great (which makes it kind of baffling to watch, I will admit that). The music sounded good, and yes the lyrics were slightly changed from their originals, but that wasn't because he couldn't remember them. Some of it he changed, to better fit the scenario, which was still highly sensitive to the Janet incident.

I will agree with Michael though, that second song was a poor choice. I haven't heard their new album, and so I spent the whole song trying to recognize it. Couldn't enjoy it or sing along.

Blog Barney Vs. TV Barney

Dec 28th 2005 10:52AM (AOL TV)
Though Blog Barney gets bonus points for Change of Heart by Tom Petty, TV Barney clearly runs away with this. C'mon, he's got Billy Idol, Van Halen, and Twisted Sister's best songs!

I did crack up when I saw the transformer theme though :P

On the 5th day of Festivus, TV gave to me

Dec 12th 2005 9:19PM (AOL TV)
Well I can't talk about cancelled shows without whining about John Doe. I was really really into that show @_@ It's really the main reason I keep giving Prison Break a shot. Speaking of Prison Break, the other brother, Fish appeared in the last episode of another show that should not have been cancelled. Not Fox's problem specifically, but Joan of Arcadia was possibly the best written drama ever for a Family audience. It appealed to EVERYONE in some way, without offending ANYONE. Why cancel something that's getting such high praise?!?! Especially when you've got a 17 year old who just found out, she's gonna be directly pitted against Satan next season?! Also, I almost cried at Arrested Development for two reasons tonight. Number 1, it may be cancelled, and it's just too freakin hilarious. Number 2, what other show would make references to stuff like Prison Break and Podcasts? :(

DS games out this week

Dec 12th 2005 11:53AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Well after Animal Crossing, I'm considering getting Bust-a-move for my brother. He always loves the arcade version, but we've never bothered to get any of the portable/console versions.

Burnout Legends ships

Dec 12th 2005 11:27AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Well, I saw this at target the other day, and thought I'd have to check out the reviews. Thanks to your post reminding me, I did go check them out. Not very good at all o_O Too bad, I was looking to add another good DS game to my wishlist :(

Introducing the DS Boy

DS is man's new best friend

Dec 12th 2005 11:21AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Ummm, that might all be well and good, if anybody played the game longer than 2 weeks o_o I quit playing after 4 days (though I will admit, it was a good four days of puppy-pettin). My brother quit after about 12, and I don't expect that a lot of people played longer than that.
