Sword and Sworcery EP: 350K units swold

Mar 5th 2012 3:52PM (Joystiq)
@greyseal
I think what that means is: "Porting our complex game to Android will require too much time/money based on sales projections."

I don't necessarily believe that to be true or false, but I would hope Capy has some number to support this disappointing decision.

Triple Town developer sues over iOS knock-off

Jan 29th 2012 7:42PM (Joystiq)
If Spry Fox's claims are accurate, that's a pretty despicable low for 6Waves LOLAPPS. Some of the "inspired" games out there are treading a fine legal/creative line, but this sounds about as close to a blatant copy as one can get.

Good for Spry Fox for standing up for itself and its employees!

LG's new 3D TV has true gaming split-screen, reminds us of another display

Sep 4th 2011 5:19PM (Joystiq)
@Faenix The split screen glasses should be fairly inexpensive. I'm sure the reason why none are included is because most people purchasing this set will be doing so for 3D movies and not games.

Joystiq doesn't mention it, but these LG sets will use passive 3D glasses instead of the more expensive active shutter ones. LG's passive 3D technology is called "Cinema 3D" because it's very similar to what the movie theatres use right down to the inexpensive glasses.

Scrolls teaser trailer leaps from the page into your eyeballs

@TalkingBidoof That's probably the most accurate description of what is likely going on with the dispute over the "Scrolls" name.

With reasonable and well written responses like that, you're going to get yourself banned from the Internet. ;)

Playdom CEO: 'Core gamers are playing this stuff'

Beyond just blocking further invites, blocking an application on Facebook hides all related items from ALL walls, news feeds, etc.

My blocked application list grows every time I log into Facebook. >:)

Trials HD on sale for $10 today on XBLM

Apr 29th 2010 4:14PM (Joystiq)
More often than not, I wait for DLC and XBLA games to go on sale before buying since I usually have a game backlog to work through at most times.

I'm sure strong sales on a discounted item only help motivate discounting other future items when sales have leveled off/declined.

Report: Bethesda nukes lawsuit against Interplay over Fallout MMO [Update: Bethesda disagrees, calls it 'ongoing']

@alphamatrix Correction, Baldur's Gate was developed by BioWare and published by Black Isle Studios & Interplay.

Face, meet palm.

Report: Bethesda nukes lawsuit against Interplay over Fallout MMO [Update: Bethesda disagrees, calls it 'ongoing']

Apr 22nd 2010 5:15PM (Joystiq)
@reinhart Interplay was only the publisher of the early Fallout games. They were developed by Black Isle Studios (the same developer behind Baldur's Gate).

Getting the facts wrong while chastising another for doing just that: Fail.
