You know, when you purchased PSN plus, you were paying for extras.
As in, not for special treatment in terms of online connectivity, etc.
When they introduced PSN plus, SONY started off by saying "our online network will always be free, connected, and include multiplayer support."
I'll happily come back to their FREE online service when it returns.
Additionally, I've had the PS3 for several years now and this is one of the only true hiccups I've experienced.
