Most of the world's electronics are made in China...can we continue to trust our tools?

Feb 6th 2010 3:57PM (Download Squad)
Oh no! You mean some one else might be able to look at the pictures of me and my family! Perhaps even read my junk mail and my invites to the local Pizza Hut! Quickly, turn off everything made in China. I'll send word by carrier pigeon when this ugly mess blows over.

Swag Saturday: Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 controllers for all those holiday games

Nov 15th 2009 12:59PM (Joystiq)
I use all my controls all the time. Often when no one else is in the room.

When I was very young my family would travel to my Grandparents house for Christmas - one year my brother decided to take up his Sega Megadrive (Genisis?) and we hooked it up to their lounge TV and started playing Sonic. We were pretty into it, the kind of kids that would gladly spend hours playing games. Anyway, my Dad, perhaps trying to get us off the game, started to try and encourage his Dad to play. Eventually he came around to the idea and his first - and quite possibly last - gaming experience was one of sheer terror followed by slight fear and eventually concluding with the words "am I dead yet?" As the suspiciously blue hedgehog slowly drowned.

I'm from the UK. So I know I'm not eligible... should I have put that at the top?

OnLive 'works on cell phones too,' says Perlman

Nov 15th 2009 12:42PM (Joystiq)
This all sounds pretty amazing, I look forward to seeing it actually happen.

If it does happen dam right people will want to play full games on their iPhone. If I have to go to work mid way through a mission or something, it would be awesome to just think - 'thats cool, ill finish it at work on my break.' Or even if you could just jump into some Halo style matchmaking while bored on a late shift working the till.

Since when did the size of the screen directly effect the level of enjoyment? It's not the size that matters right guys... it's the way you use it... right?... guys?

Capcom! Woo! Yeah!

Who was that guy?

Zune HD does games: Project Gotham Racing, Audiosurf 'in November'

Sep 15th 2009 12:36PM (Joystiq)
This is fairly unrelated but I've been toying around with the new Zune software (which is very slick and pretty much solves all the short coming of the previous version) and I was linked from there to the Zune website - now I'm from the UK and normaly if I try and do that it tells me that it is not avaiable in my region, today however, I have a profile.
When I try and sign into the software I still get shot down by my region but still... are these times a changin'?

iTunes 9 continues to suck on Windows, makes halfhearted attempt at Windows 7 integration

Sep 12th 2009 3:01PM (Download Squad)
I agree with everything you have said in this post. iTunes has always been rubbish and continues that legacy with 9. In fact, visually it seems to have taken a backward step much like Apple did with the Nano.

I wasn't however pushed to comment until I read some of the trash other people have said. This site was made so that we (the readers) can get an insight in this stuff from someone who might know better, an interesting opinion in other words. I appreciate you might disagree with it, but instead of whining about the fact he has said it, why don't you present a counter argument? If not. Go away.

Apple enlists David Puddy to take on the Laptop Hunters

Aug 25th 2009 10:49AM (Engadget)
The only thing Apple seem to tout as a good thing is it's not a PC. Well thanks, I knew that already. Shouldn't this advert be telling us some amazing thing you can only do on a Mac, like look pretentious.

Weekly Deals: Gears PC $15 and free tees galore

I'm not sure how to contact you through any other means than a comment, so apoligies for the irrelevance of this being here.
Anyway, Xbox.com is giving away some exclusive pinatas, I'm not a fan myself, but I thought that was the kind of the thing you told people about on here.. so here you go;
