While I managed to successfully reserve an iPhone through Apple, it took approximately 8 hours and who knows how many attempts to do so. In the end, I have one reserved but it didn't show the upgrade price, which I am eligible for. I do not plan on forking over $699 on launch day however...I'm hoping Apple can confirm my eligibility at that point...or I'll be walking away without it.
I would have bought it at 800 just for the nostalgia factor, but not at 1200. That just seems like price-gouging to me. Ah well, maybe amazon will have a sale on it sometime in the near future (a la Flock).
Kottick is going to run Activision into the ground. Bobby, we know you want to exploit gamers...and you probably can do it for years (look how long EA did it!)...but you don't TELL the gamers you're exploiting them...that's just bad business...
