I used the 1.2 ZiPhone jailbreak this morning (in case anyone is STILL confused, use the zibri version and not the unlock.no interface, and make sure the verbose debug is checked or it will hang on the silver apple logo).
Anyhoo, All is fine so far except for one major problem I've come across. After using this jailbreak method, browser programs like iPhoneList and iPhoneBrowser do not work anymore. Only 3 folders are available, acting as if the file structure is not jailbroken at all.
Has anyone else come across this issue and if so, find a resolution to get file access back?
I ended up going with the 360 version. When I tried the demo on my new laptop (dell 1520), it ran perfectly through the intro movie and then when the plane crashes and the screen goes black.... it stays black.
This is because the rushed nvidia drivers for 8 series cards apparently do not support my laptops 8600M GT... I didn't screw with the settings at all because this should be able to run at full specs.
How many copies of Guitar Hero II 360 were sold? I bet it's a lot more than 300k.
I admit, I bought a song pack when it was first released, out of the excitement that I've been playing GH for so long and I could finally do this, but I'm still sticking with my protest and haven't bought a song pack since... at least until More Than A Feeling is released.
Once Rock Band starts their download service, something tells me they won't be so evil with their song pricing. Maybe then Activision will wake up and realize they're treating the fans of the franchise like assholes.
Ok, so the iPhone can barely surf the web with no flash or java, it's on the EDGE network so it's at crawling speed, and someone said it can't send or receive text messages?
Please, besides being a frontrunner with the latest fad, is the iPhone really worth $600?
Oh and FRocker, until you have both systems and are able to explore them and their games properly, you should really relax your fanboyish side comments. I have all three systems and each has it's ups and downs. Trust me, the PS3 certainly has plenty of ups but based on "gaming value", all three systems are letting me down in that department. Especially the Wii: owned 15 games, returned or sold 11 of them.
@14. For $200, I'm better off trading in my current 360, upgrading to the elite and buying a standard HDMI cable.
I was actually just looking for something like this earlier today. I just bought a new 1080p 42" tv (and I finally understand the Blu-Ray hype) and my only beef is with my 360. I use the VGA cable for it and the resolution for it maxed out at 1366x768, where HDMI would bring it to full 1920x1080. Plus for some reason, using the VGA cable makes the colours look washed out. I've noticed this on two different HDTVs and a PC monitor.
@9. Richard Ashcroft only sings it as part of a collaboration but if anyone is really interested in the song, it's by U.N.K.L.E (Dj Shadow), on the CD "Psyence Fiction". On there is also the song 'Rabbit In Your Headlights', sung by Radiohead lead, Thom Yorke.
I'm hoping this hits North America too. Any word on that?
I've tried playing Myst and Riven so many times back in the day. I loved the concept and the flow of the game but I could never quite grasp wtf I needed to do. Now 10+ years later, hopefully I'll have a friggin' clue.
Not that it's hard to understand but look at the anagram for this! Redunkulous. Just call it SF:HD and be done with it. Also finally move onto Street Fighter IV. The odd naming system has been irking me for years.
Either way, I'll buy it. There's nothing like paying for the same thing 6 times over. :)
