NHL 2K8 charges $5 to unlock feature already on game
Sep 20th 2007 1:14PM (Joystiq)Where were all the reviews blasting it because it didn't have that feature? So if the game was fine without the feature then you decide if the added feature is worth the money to you. If not, then you don't buy it.
Japan to get GT5 Prologue on Dec. 13
Sep 20th 2007 1:03PM (Joystiq)Calling Prologue a demo makes it seem like it should be for free when that is not their aim as far as I can tell.
Joystiq hands-on: PGR4 (Xbox 360)
Jul 9th 2007 2:55PM (Joystiq)It is obvious to me that Forza 2 traded graphics for physics and it shows. Not as pretty as DiRT, but the nuances of the game really make up for it.
The braking line is also a crucial addition. it makes sim driving games actually fun.
The fact that you can actually feel and hear each upgrade is just great.
It think PS3 GT wll be goregous (and hopefully fun), but I don't think the dev team will be able to sacrifice graphics for physics (since most people don't care).
Joystiq hands-on: PGR4 (Xbox 360)
Jul 9th 2007 1:34PM (Joystiq)I really liked PGR3 and Forza 2 is wonderful for its realism. The DiRT demo is gorgeous, but the game feels like it might be a tad to twitchy for my taste.
PGR4 will be great to have as well.
For sheer sense of speed and fun playing in traffic, you can't go wrong with Burnout. It is the first game I've played to 100% in a decade (and that's sayin' something).
Valve not charging for downloadable content
May 25th 2007 1:25PM (Joystiq)The only question that really matters is this:
Did you feel you got a complete game when you purchased the title? If the answer is yes, then there is nothing really to complain about other than your desire to get something for nothing.
As with all purchasable items. Either the price is worth it to you or it isn't. If it isn't then you don't buy it. It's a radical idea to be sure.
Army of Two = 1 part innovation + 1 part bad dialogue
Mar 19th 2007 3:22PM (Joystiq)It is possible to make it sound dated without sounding too cheesy. There is a line, but there is no way to tell if they crossed it by this short snippet.
If it annoys you it is bad. If it lightens your mood or even makes you laugh it is good. The problem is, if it is done poorly, the game will be irritating to play.
Army of Two = 1 part innovation + 1 part bad dialogue
Mar 19th 2007 1:59PM (Joystiq)Even though it is cheesy, it could be a little more inventive.

Feb 8th 2007 3:40PM (Joystiq)They forgot to add that the movie based game will simultaneously be released on PS3, XBox360, Wii, DS, PSP, and cell phones. Look for a hex table game to follow soon after.
Robotic arm rides, 5 cents
Jan 30th 2007 12:17PM (Engadget)If his head doesn't hit the ground 1 mm is no different than 1 km. The perceived danger is in your mind. Obviously this is a test for some amusement ride.
