Here are the PSP games that will work on Vita at launch [update: more compatible games spotted]

No support for Metal Gear Solid: Peach Walker? Wow. That pretty much kills it for me.

Magicka summons 1.3 million in sales, new expansion in the works

Oh boy, more stuff to sell us without bothering to do the slightest bit of optimization to their code.

Oops! Game-halting bug in Skyward Sword (and how to avoid it)

Dec 6th 2011 9:54AM (Joystiq)
@Xoonaka Because this is a bug that requires a very specific sequence of events to reproduce, which is easily avoidable and will most likely only be encountered by a small minority of players (and hopefully even fewer players now that the issue is documented). If this was a game-breaking bug that was unavoidable and encountered by a vast majority of players, that would be a different story. But obviously the reviewers did not find this bug, nor did Nintendo's testers, so it's certainly a rare instance.

@Knives Chau When Twilight Princess had a similar glitch, I believe Nintendo offered the opportunity for anybody to send in their copy of the game for an updated copy of the game with the bug corrected. But there's no way to actually apply a software patch for a game for the Wii AFAIK.

There was a similar bug in early copies of Twilight Princess: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkB53h2M5Pw

NintendoWare Weekly: Super Mario Land 2, escapeVektor

Sep 29th 2011 11:03AM (Joystiq)
@Alexisonfire Amen to that. Detailed graphics, catchy music, and a unique level system where there are 6 themed worlds, but you can conquer them in whatever order you want. Plus there's secret exits/levels and an adjustable difficulty, the latter of which is pretty darn rare for a Mario game.

Worms: Reloaded $10 on Steam, new DLC unearthed

Wait until the last day of the sale to buy this one...it may go even cheaper than that for one of the daily deals.

All Sam and Max titles 66 percent off on Direct2Drive today

Jun 29th 2011 5:15PM (Joystiq)
Note that Telltale Games has 75% off everything in their store right now, so you can get these cheaper directly from their website.

$7.50 for Season 1 or Season 2
$8.75 for Season 3
$12.50 for the Complete Collection

Unless you have some sort of attachment to D2D, you're better off buying through Telltale.

Puzzle Agent 2 cracks the case June 30

Jun 10th 2011 2:24PM (Joystiq)
@Faceless Troll Agreed. I can't remember the last time I was as dissatisfied with a game ending then I was with Puzzle Agent. Which is a shame, because I thought the rest of the game (aside from a few repeated puzzles) was fantastic.

2K Sports distances itself from sexy Serena Williams Top Spin 4 ad

Mar 21st 2011 8:52PM (Joystiq)
It's pretty obvious why they pulled it...calling Serena Williams the "world's sexiest tennis player" is about as blantantly false as advertising can get. Also, the commercial was terrible.
