2K Games has no plans to bring Bioshock 2 DLC to PC

Oct 10th 2010 7:35AM (Joystiq)
@mcbexx

You appear to be unfortunately confused.

Bioshock: Infinite is being developed by Irrational Games (The studio behind System Shock 2) 2K is only the publisher this time around, and as an added bonus the Lead Designer's position is once again filled by Ken Levine - the man who likely earned your trust with the original Bioshock.

OnLive giving 30% discount on all games and rentals for the Fourth

Jul 3rd 2010 1:22PM (Joystiq)
@Grey

No. To build good gaming computer that will last 4 - 5 years you cannot spend less than $1000.

I've built four machines in the last few days ranging from $818 - $1477, and there's absolutely no way the $800 machines I assembled will last that long.

OnLive, much to my disbelief, is proving to be a fair investment if you live within the service range.

Blizzard appeals StarCraft 2 Korean 'Adults Only' rating

Apr 22nd 2010 8:05PM (Joystiq)
One piece of speculation is that KeSPA (Korean e-Sports Association) had a hand in bribes to ensure the game was rated AO.

Blizzard is fighting tooth and nail to control the competitive scene of SC2, and KeSPA does -not- want this to happen and does not want to pay Blizzard to run the house they built. Their profit margin depends on SC1 continuing to be the #1 e-Sport in South Korea.

Facebook and Twitter coming to Xbox Nov. 17

Brad, who said you needed a good usb keyboard? - Heck, who doesn't -already- have a USB keyboard? If I felt a desperate enough need to type and didn't have a spare, I'd just unplug one I use for the pc and swap it on over.

Hey, not to rain on the parade Prog and Brad, but did you know that any USB keyboard can be plugged into the 360, and used to type?

I'm stunned every time I hear about someone buying the chat pad - I just keep a spare USB keyboard plugged into the USB port on the back of my 360.

Modern Warfare 2 limited to 9 vs. 9 on PC

Sounds like you've been missing out.
KB+M + free DLC + mods + hacks + free online play.

No one using a controller is going to beat a KB+M player in an FPS, sorry."

You know, this is a pet peeve of mine. For a very long time I used a dinky emulator and a 360 controller in PC multiplayer, and I still held my own in any given game.

Using a gamepad does not automatically make you fail, it's just a slight handicap. I use KB+M too, but I still enjoy the throwback to a controller from time to time. It's different, but it will not ensure your loss in any fight.

PCs have amazing support compared to console games, which gives most purchases on the platform a much longer longevity - but it doesn't make me count out the fun experiences offered from it's console brethren.

Left 4 Dead 2 boycotters flown to Valve; boycotters boycot original boycotters

Sep 11th 2009 11:47AM (Joystiq)
Okay Dan.

We need to talk.

Valve has already stated on at least two occasions that they will -not- be dropping support for the first game. How can you get off on calling others clueless when you don't have all the facts yourself?

Do you really think that with good L4D2 sales Valve will spontaneously erupt, throwing out all of their accrued business/community knowledge to become the next EA?

If so, you must hold a most miserable view on the game-design community as a whole.

Next time, run a few Google searches before slathering baseless comment after baseless comment into our fine repository for video game discussion.

id: Xbox 360 Rage may have separate discs for campaign and multiplayer

Shingo, the Source engine was designed from the ground up to allow modifications and updates without requiring a repack onto a new disk.

Valve designed their system specifically to allow wonderful things like The Orange Box to exist.

Bungie has not done the same, it is an engine thing.

No AI, just lots of really really good textures.

"Update#5: Xbox 360 will have around double the servers we have now by 4:30 PST (12:30 GMT)! This will be done in stages so please bear with us. We also increased PS3 servers before release and will keep increasing both the Xbox 360 and PS3's capacity until needs are met with enough extra for peak playing times!
