Roxio Game Capture introduces new video capture options for consoles and PC

Mar 15th 2011 10:31AM (Joystiq)
@sammo21 Oh no, it doesn't upload to youtube however shall I cope!
Is it really that hard for folks to upload through the youtube interface that they need a $50 software to do it for them? And if folks don't like FRAPS there's alternatives, Camstudio for example.
And yeah, I use FRAPs, I just don't see the point in paying $50 for Roxios attempt at it. (also I'm pretty sure I didn't pay $37 for FRAPs, was a while back. I just grabbed the current price off the site)

As many have said it's a total rip-off, more than likely brought on by making it a "gaming" capture card rather than a generic one that'll do the 480p stuff just as well for much much less. And $50 for PC game capture software is stupidly expensive. Especially when you have FRAPS for free/$37.
I think I'll pass. A $100 HD capture card would be a nice offer though if Roxio are reading.

Pachter: Project Natal will cost $50, 'Sphere' no more than $100 [update]

Oct 16th 2009 12:56AM (Joystiq)
The price is a guestiamte, same as the $50 for Natal.
Neither company has outed a price for their motion set ups.
Though to think Natal will be that cheap you have to thin its April 1st.

Hooray! UK retailer deems Q4 release schedule 'sensible'

Oct 13th 2009 2:43PM (Joystiq)
Same here.
Why whenever game blog sites that aren't Eurogamer report on "UK Retailers" is it never GAME or Gamestation. You know...the main UK Chains.

"We small retailer that probs has 3 back alley stores aren't supporting the PSPGo" seemed to be all you got last month.
If GAME Said "We aren't stocking the Go" then it'd be big news.

SimCastle and SimMars scrapped in favor of The Sims

Oct 12th 2009 4:41PM (Joystiq)
I want a new Simctiy, but SimMars would tide me over, I remember playing Alpha Centurai when I was younger, perhaps too young for it and it confused the hell out of me, but I liked making the custom ships.
SimCastle, well currently having a shot with Majesty I guess thats close enough

those in the know will do that.
But for the most part folks won't find out you can swap out the hardrive till they open the box n read the manual.
And that's how Sony will make some cash on the side.

Ah yeas, writing '250gb' on stuff makes it immune from going dark in the shade.
it's most likely dodgy lighting, it is in a store, lightings messed up in in stores.
