Review: ModNation Racers
May 7th 2010 5:02AM (Joystiq)its ashame about the load times,if your a smoker or have a habit to do in between you generally dont notice longish load times, uploading the trax to the server literally took seconds so thats a plus side.
controls were tricky at first but actually pretty good once you got the knack and the powerslides were great,i found my self just powersliding the whole track sometimes.
i would say that the weapons needed a bit more balance, but apart from that the game was mint.
gonna see what that blur is like cos im not sold on split second, its good but not great imo.
however purchase wise i am leaning towards mnr cos i liked the track creater so much.
New Silent Hill in the hands of Vatra Games
Apr 12th 2010 1:55PM (Joystiq)tbh i found sh3 a bit boring and the same for 4.
it needs a new direction if its going to work, because the same old hospitals and schools are getting boring now.
does any one know if some of the history to silent hill was explained, like pyramid head being on the pictures of the wall in one of the buildings?-just curious.
such a shame that the series died out because the foundations laid down were excellent for some backstory...(prequels maybe?)
Interview: Spoiling Heavy Rain with David Cage
Mar 20th 2010 9:59AM (Joystiq)i think that was a weak point in the story because kramer knew his son had killed a boy,and seemed to show no remorse particulary, yet felt guilty for 30 years (or more) about a child's accident (on his site)that was not his fault at all.
on the whole heavy rain was a great game imo,the story was very good and miles better then anything else on the market only silent hill has gave it a run for its money and that was just damn confusing.

May 28th 2009 9:58AM (Joystiq)finally someone with some vision rather then the same ol,same old.
this is a day 1 purchase for me,even my mrs is looking forward to watching/playing it with me.
one more thing, ppl saying 8-10 hours is too short, I dont agree this is like a movie/game, if its too long you'll stop caring.look at SH2,good adult game way too long though, too get all the endings was a lot of work...yes... you can say go to utube, but i want to get the most the game has too offer, after all i paid for it.
so if the multiple endings is the games thing, its got to be a realistic length.
im really looking forward to this game.

May 10th 2009 7:51AM (Joystiq)Dead Space 2 development reconfirmed by LinkedIn profile
May 10th 2009 5:26AM (Joystiq)maybe on the next game you could make it from the ship to an actual planet, then they can make up wateva they want really, which would be cool.
deadspace 2 will be a great game i reckon.keep it single player tho, multiplayer ruins these types of game.
p.s. make the trophies for rock shooting a bit easier please.
