I agree that PopCap can't protect the "pachinko+extra stuff" gameply mechanic, but I do think they might be able to protect their trademark style and/or trade dress. You beat me to it. My first thought was: "56? What, he hasn't had his picture taken since college?" However, a quick Googleing makes me think that Brock may just look 15 years younger than his actual age.

I'm 26 and I don't look much younger than this guy. Makes me wonder if I should reconsider a career as a County Supervisor.
