"Obsidian may not have the people who worked on Fallout, but the vast majority of it are ex Black Isles members."

This was true in 2003, but not anymore. Most of the current Obsidian developers were not at Black Isle studios, although the highest ranking ones are.

Are you guys talking about Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel for the PC (which was decent) or Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel for the PS2 and Xbox, which was horrible?

@Mr Esc is the namesarcasm is my

None of the developers at Obsidian had anything to do with neither Fallout Tactics nor Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel.

It's not that easy as you might think. Black Isle was never an independent company but only an internal studio that was always part of Interplay. And it wasn't officially formed until after the release of Fallout 1, which was developed simply by "Interplay". For all intents and purposes, if a game was developed by Black Isle, it was developed by Interplay.

And Black Isle is not Obsidian either. It includes some of the people from Black Isle, but certainly not all of them, not even all of the most important ones. Chris Taylor and Mark O'Green, two of the creators of Fallout 1 and 2 (Chris Taylor was actually the lead designer on Fallout) recently rejoined Interplay and are now working on Fallout Online.

Yes, Rise of the White Wolf is only suspended, which RPG Codex actually got from the very same Polygamia article this post is based on, and which is linked from here. :)

Fallout 3's 'Vault Boy' now delivering pizza, copyright infringement

Vault Boy is just done in 1950s style, but other than that, he is a 100% original character, designed by Leonard Boyarsky and Tramell Isaac.

Rumor: Interplay's Fallout MMO in-game screenshots leaked by ... Interplay

Nov 14th 2009 4:32PM (Joystiq)
I'm the founder of the Fallout Wiki and I posted these images first. I realize that they might seem suspicious, but maybe you might be convinced by the fact that I also posted 4 pieces of concept art at The Vault yesterday, one of which was posted by Interplay itself only today in their forum.
