Apr 23rd 2007 9:08AM (Joystiq)Ring of Death: An Xbox 360 story -- Part 1
Feb 1st 2007 10:47AM (Joystiq)And then, 13 months later, out of the blue I get the red ring of death. Of course it was out of warranty but since it was a launch console they're fixing it for free. However, they didn't (won't) send me a box. I have to send it out myself with my own box and then they'd mail the same box back and pay for shipping. I just sent it out this past Monday. They said 2 days to fix and 4 days to return.
Still didn't get a PS3 or Wii last weekend? Keep wishing.
Dec 18th 2006 6:05PM (Joystiq)The guy says "No it's unopened. We received 4 returns today all unopened. They probably were trying to sell them on eBay but they're not going for much profit now."
This was at Bailey'S Crossroads in Northern VA last nite around 8:45pm.

Sep 14th 2006 5:35PM (Joystiq)Comments like these are funny. Are you guys serious? Do you really think people that will be looking for a PS3 and find them unavailable actually will be buying the Wii? Doubtful. People with that kind of money to burn don't care that it's $250. They also are looking for the best graphical bang. Sorry but the Wii doesn't provide that. Those unable to find a PS3 will be moving towards the 360, which by then will have a nice, established stable of games and great online support.

May 8th 2006 11:28AM (Joystiq)stop acting like a damn fanboy. Most 360's are in the closet and not being used? That's the stupidest statement ever. Do you have proof of that because everyone I know with a 360 plays it all the time.
I HAVE a Gamecube and played Metroid Prime and the AMAZING Resident Evil 4. No doubt they are fantastic and I love my gamecube and the Wii will sit right next to it in the future. But apparently you're either Hellen Keller's long lost brother, just another nintendo fanboy or own a tv from 1988. The 360 graphics are sharper, higher-def and amazingly more detailed. It's hard to go back to pre-high-def graphics on the older systems although I'll admit to playing Resident Evil 4 on Gamecube because it is and always will be fantastic. And even though the Wii won't be high-def, the controller is compelling enough for me to buy it and enjoy it.
And that's what I'm getting at. ENJOY the games (all of them no matter what system!) and stop acting like a blind fanboy to one and perpetuating stupid blatantly false statements about other systems.
