The fact is, it is standard business to see what other companies are doing and try to do it better. Just like when sony started the first playstation. They copied bits and pieces from each of the other console developers for their on console. This is undeniable. But all in all, what does this have to do with sony? What, because it is portable media player like all the other hundreds out there? Because it is to be supported by a service similar to itunes (which ISNT developed by sony), or... could it be the idea it may be a portable game machine (which obviously sony isnt trying to follow nintendo's footsteps with that one). I love the mention of the HDMI port, which sony so happen to not even include the feature on the cheaper sku, considering betaray is the driving source behind all things ps3. The fact is, you dont want a new media player don't buy it. If it is a really good media player with strong support, it will sell. If it connects to xbox live, it will sell more. If you can play live arcade, that is strong incentive because a lot of xbox owners already have games purchased so you could just pick up the system and be able to play something without an added purchase. Any competition is good for business. All will try and have better features, price, values, etc. and the others will have to match it or beat it in some way. With the support itunes has, ms wouldnt spend the time and money unless they thought they could actually pull it off and gain a size of the market (not necessarily beat it, but be successful). With ALL these leaks, I just wish MS could officially come out and make some statements about the device so those that are interested could know more of the facts and not have to speculate on so many rumors. Control the hype before it gets out of control.

I loved oblivion. But I am not buying anymore content. Unless it is a big expansion, it doesnt seem worth it. Just look how much you are spending for all these small pieces all together. Imagine how much a big expansion would be. This one by one thing will definately eat away your money. Just wait.

wait till word gets to the general public about ps3 pricing. those who were holding out will be slipping in the xbox camp. i personally know 3 people who are getting there 360 in the next month after seeing what was to be e3 2006. rat tat tat.... gears of war, forza 2, mass effect, too human, HALO 3!

Too many developers are saying the ps3 is much harder to develop for, meaning it will cost them more to develop on the ps3 than the 360. Price of the ps3 will not compare to the 360 or it will be financial suicide for them. Hype will build up for the ps3 as usual, but this time around.. I say, give it about 1 to 2 years after both console are out.. the 360 is definately going to lead the console wars in every territory except japan, and that is just because they (unlike most) would rather buy locally developed devices even if it means more money or lesser of a product. I know a lot of people are going to respond to this and try there best to argue, but just watch and see what happens. Sony is known for trying to build up there stuff for more than what it really is. Everyone has heard it before, but you can never forget the claims of their so called "emotion engine". Those who are awaiting the ps3, I highly recommend you wait a little while till the hype settles and make your own opinion on the quality.

I dont see cross platform mmo's getting extremely popular with the 360, there will probably be more focus on 360 only mmo's. Too many problems when trying the make a fair combination of pc/mouse vs. controller. Either one or the other.
