Steel Battalion trailer brings together Kinect and controller

Oct 26th 2011 2:58PM (Joystiq)
@Tomerick: I agree with SHADO, don't feel sorry for us. I loved that game to death. Was one of the best gaming experiences I ever had, and one that you couldn't feel from video footage or trailers alone.

I don't regret it at all, in fact. I purchased multiple copies, and played on LAN with friends. Good times, good times! :D

Actually, it IS on release. It's also mentioned that anyone who doesn't preorder will be able to purchase it for $10 USD 1 month after release.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 could have always-on DRM, but it's out of love [update]

@IQ Review

You do realize pirates will simply bypass this right? Like they do pretty much every DRM... It will ONLY negatively affect legitimate purchases.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion sold exctremely well on the PC and Bethesda was very satisfied. It sold 4 times more the Morrowind (one of the best selling PC games even 4 years after its release).

So yeah... This, in my opinion will only deter sales. They sure lost mine.

Blizzard 'very, very serious' about console Diablo 3

@Slomoshun
Read the article, they are hiring people to help with the console version... i don't see how this would ruin the experience in the slightest.

I remember when Microsoft was talking about having PC games on windows vista (and new OS i would assume) would only require you to insert the disk, and would install the remainder of the game automatically while you're playing. Automatic updates for games and drivers.... if only they wouldve kept their word.

Diablo 3 is in development for PC, according to the article, they are hiring others to develop the Console version. I don't see why this would detract from the PC experience.

That was just creepy. I had to do a double-take to make sure you were spamming something.

LittleBigPlanet Vita being developed by Double11

@SneakySneakyB No it's not. I'd recommend it. And yes (like alot of people complain about) the controls ARE floaty. But, like many many others. There is really no problem with it. If it bothers at all, there are levels where the jump mechanics have been tweaked to be alot more "heavy".

The point in which it does get complicated is when you start creating. Yes it CAN be simple... if you are going to create a very simple level that is. (that point is obvious i think). The tutorials are very well done as well, so if you DO want to spend time creating, make sure you invest the time in watching them. They help alot.

tl;dr: No it's not too complicated. Unless you want to get deep into the create mode.
