Oct 8th 2009 6:24PM (Joystiq)No, as we're talking about non-rewritable optical media. Maybe if they offered a machine that would destroy the original UMD after giving out a PSN redeemable code, but there is no way for Sony to simply "deactivate" an optical disc temporarily.

Jul 7th 2009 4:13PM (Joystiq)The Wii has 88MB of RAM + the 3MB of eDRAM. The PSP2000 and up have 64MB of RAM with 4MB of DRAM however only 32MB of it can actually be used by games, otherwise PSP1000 users who only have 32MB of system RAM would be S.O.L. with games designed for the newer PSPs. The Wii is definitely more powerful than the PSP, but the PSP is still pretty bitchin' for a hand held.

Jul 3rd 2009 8:58PM (Joystiq)The PC version of Left 4 Dead supports split-screen via a console command. The second player has to use an Xbox 360 controller, but the game looks and runs better on the PC in Split-screen than it does on the 360 version. Also, I can run it in REAL 1080p with 4xAA on my HDTV.
