ya touch controls may SEEM to be the way to go for a game like myst, but playing the ds version was impossibly hard, as i had to tap every inch of the screen, instead in the pc psp etc. versions you have an on screen cursor which gives you hints on where you should click so in a way touch screens are a double edged sword, and not everything that uses a mouse can translate as easily to a touch screen format as you would think.... if anything myst would be perfect for the wii, you get the, well as some people would call it "accuracy, and ease of use" of the wiimote(which i strongly disagree with) and an on screen cursor, so it suits it nicely.

wow you are aware that the ease of use of the psp has increased exponentially in the last few years right? now all i need to do is make it an mp4 and it will play on my psp, even your precious ipod format mp4s will play on it... thats it, i also just drag and drop music, and pictures... it is ALOT easier than when the psp launched

when the psp launched its movie playback capabilities were fucked because of that weird file system shit, now everything goes in the folder marked VIDEO right on the root of your memory stick, and if you fuckeed up putting a movie on NOWADAYS then i have know clue what to say to you, because your obviously cannot computer very well

also music goes in the MUSIC folder, photo's in the PHOTO folder, etc... its just simple now, infact almost every argument against the psp at launch i can safely say is not a problem these days..... maybe you should update your firmware, which is free of charge to do by the way ;)

why not get a psp 2000 model, then you have the complete functionality of the ipod plus if you buy the mic for like 20 bucks tops you also get skype

psp has phone music movies games and webrowser

no other device can do any of these half as good

and dont say ipod has better music features, itunes is a pain, i dont care who you are, atleast psp has simple drag and drop without having to go through a program ike itunes.

so then answer me this... why is it that apple can release ipod after ipod and idiots buy them with a fuckin smile on their face, while overpaying tremendously for a PHONE.... with the apple logo... thats about it ya srsly.

sony shows off the go, FOR $250 and everyone mans the fuckin harpoons and crucifies them in media sites like this! saying sony's ripping you off, for what the psp can do, the price is not that bad.

but a 599 dollar multimedia monster of a home console that does pretty much everything youd want in a home theatre setup/gaming rig.... was just un-fucking acceptable?

my DS Lite doesnt even last 15 hous if anything ten, factor in that the DS lite HAS NO FUCKIN SLEEP MODE, then l=the battery life goes down even less


Try Putting your freshly charged Ds in to the "sleep mode" i.e. close the lid, and tell me how long it last's

i have both psp 2000, and 1000, when im not playin one im playin the other... and guess what

the PSP will last for prolly a good solid week in sleep mode ACTUAL SLEEP MODE, the fuckin thing goes practically right off, if i play off and on throughout the day, and when not in use out it into sleep mode, i still got almost about 2 ticks at the end of the day, when i go to charge it again.


with the DS i ALWAYS make a point to turn it off when not in use, as their sleep mode kills the battery so much the thing is dead when i go to charge it before bed


factor in that the Lite has no batter life indicator (other than when it turns red because its about to die)


makeing the battery life a guessing game is terrible, i remember once i was playing a game on my DS, we had to go somewhere, and i couldnt decide whether to bring my psp or ds (the ds won because i was really in to the game) and the fucking thing turned out to be dead no more than two hours ago, minus the time i had it sleep mode, i only got maybe an hour and a half on the rode with it, because i didnt know how much juice was left in it....


with the psp that's NEVER a problem, i just go to settings to see EXACTLY how much battery is left, it even (under)estimates how long you have left.

so if i dont have enough then i just pop out the dead one, and put in my spare, for occasions like the one above, where i forgot to charge it.


the psp battery life argument has been confusing me since day 1
