Jun 1st 2010 6:24AM (Engadget)You obviously have no idea the difference between Taiwan and China. Taiwan is a developed country where the cost of living is much higher than China, so the kind of low-paid labors will be impossible to find, and that’s why company like Foxonn outsourced them to China (it’s the same situation like the manufacturing sectors being outsourced here in the US.)
Also, being a democratic country with much higher human rights rating than China, along with the labor laws and labor advocacy watchdog groups guarding workers’ right, the kind of working condition and treatment you witness in Chinese factories will be unacceptable in Taiwan (again, that’s why companies outsourced low-paid labors to China.) In fact, lots of mainlanders flee China to come find better work in Taiwan.
The people you see protesting in the pictures are protesting because they care about human rights. The Foxconn scandal is a huge news in Taiwan…because…Foxconn is a Taiwanese company! Manufacturing OEM is huge business for Taiwanese companies, so Taiwanese people are as upset about this controversies as anyone. And that’s why Taiwanese people are concerned for the Foxonn workers.

Apr 20th 2010 11:05AM (AOL TV)I'm still kind of confused about the architect, was he the same person with the horses Patty met all those years ago? or was he just a hallucination?
Tom's death was hard to watch, so is Marilyn's final moments, oh how they haunted me.
I think this definitely worked as a series finale, they tied up all the loose ends, I especially loved the scene where Frobisher finally getting what he deserved, but I wish we get to see more seasons.

Apr 15th 2010 5:07AM (AOL TV)I'm glad the show ended with a fantastic season (so much better than last year) BUT why do ABC have to be so cheap by reducing two episodes from this season? These last couple episodes feel really rushed in getting closure to unfinished plots. Also, they dropped some planned story, like the Run Lola Run homage episode and other guest stars.
Oh well, farewell Betty, I'll miss this hearty, funny and visually inventive show.
'V' - 'John May' Recap
Apr 14th 2010 6:29PM (AOL TV)I'm so sick of them, the cliche teenage rebellious son, the you-all-lied-to-me fluff (who cares if the guy's not your father!!? unless it's got something to do with lizards.) Alien hottie should be more interesting than just a manipulating girlfriend. the cringe worthy performances by those two made me want to hit the fast forward button whenever they show up. boring!
Either kill off Tyler (a long time ago, say, during the Pilot?) or whisk him off to the mothership so Erica has more motivation. if Tyler and Lisa are part of the big picture, hybrid baby or not, they better integrate those plots ASAP before it's canceled.
