Darksiders' hidden code reveals free copy of Red Faction Guerrilla

Feb 27th 2010 10:48AM (Joystiq)
I think so, since Canada should still be part of the same North American regional format. I...can't say I'd fully doubt that Canada would enforce the same regional format as the UK despite geographical separation, but I don't expect that is the case. You should be fine ordering a US Darksiders.

Although...they might have issue when you submit a Canadian address to ship to. Do you have an American pal you can trust to send it along?

Darksiders' hidden code reveals free copy of Red Faction Guerrilla

As a previous Electronics Salesman at a major retailer, this breaks my heart, lol. It's true that the high-priced HDMI cords are very unnecessary. Digital does not require the upkeep of analog; if the signal transfers successfully then it's all good. If you can find one for a buck, hop on it! I never checked Amazon myself for such utilities but now I think I'll have to!

I'm sure someone answered you in later comments, but...yes, you can choose, if you still have that code. It works for either system, regardless of what system's game it came with.

Reggie: DSi release not until 'well into 2009'

Oct 16th 2008 12:49PM (Joystiq)
Hm, I had to come back here after reading comments a couple years ago on this, to see what people had to say now that much more information has been released. I personally am not looking forward to the release of the DSi only because I would miss my GBA slot. Of course, I don't need the SD slot as I already use a MicroSD card on my DS Lite, and the camera...I can live without. I admit the new textured skin is attractive, as I actually bought a similar cover for my DS Lite. Still, I was SO excited about this until I found out that they removed the GBA slot, and bakwards compatability is pretty important to me, which is part of why I'd never buy the PS3 and lose back-comp with the awesome PS1 games, and I refuse to have to home consoles, lol.

Granted, I do own a GBA SP that works great and is used sparingly so I suppose I don't NEED my DS Lite's GBA slot, but...for the loss of it, I don't need to buy a new system either. Maybe in another 2 years they'll make changes to the DS worth upgrading for. However, for phat owners whom don't have a very expansive GBA library, I think this is probably a good time to get a new version. most good GBA games may be offered on the VC anyway, so...go for it! Or not, but just don't miss out thinking you MUST NOT by this, or waste money thinking you HAVE to.

Nintendo announces Nintendo DSi

Haha, love the comment, but...I don't notice where it says or shows there is no GBA slot. Man, I was SOOO excited about this, and "holy $#!+" ing it up, but...it's a bit less impressive if they removed functiionality to add others. I also don't think that adding an SD slot, cameras, and onboard memory to handle more built-in software is a MINOR gimmick. That sounds like a mjor upgrade to me, way more so than the light and size change from DS to DS Lite.

Sooo....Holy $#!+, Nintendo! Now, just show me where it says "no GBA slot" and I'll lay it to rest, lol.

Nintendo MP3 player for DS coming this fall?

Well, I'd say that is a poor example of convergience, Normgarry. It's not converging with anything when the new product can only be used with one piece of hardware. My friends are often pleased by the fact that their cell phone, camera, and portable system all use the same format to exchange information, and I would be too.

My personal preference is SD, and if the DS Lite had a built in SD slot, I'd be ecstatic. But if I had to buy cards that can only be used in that device...well, that'd be less exciting.

Indeed, it IS all about convergience, and about blending everything into one. A universal remote is a proper example of convergience, Norm. I think the word you're looking for is "dissention".

Suri Cruise's birth certificate revealed

Jul 11th 2006 11:57PM (ParentDish)
Wow, I definitely agree with that last comment. I don't care whether or not she's real not because she or they are not important (I love Tom as an actor, and Kate is the only actress I've ever had a poster of on my wall) but because their personal life is not for my speculation. So whether or not Suri exists is a matter than surely exists between the three of them, be that a real or an imagined number.
