What's the "deep political meaning" in Just Cause? I'm guessing it's somethng like "freedom is good and repression is bad".

I prefer the shallow political meaning of GTA:LCS; namely: if you clear all the rampages, an M60 spawns at your safehouses. Three cheers for the right to bear virtual belt-fed arms.

Some cable channel did a show last year where a bunch of guys travelled around in a bus playing Madden against different groups of people (too lazy to look up details, sorry). The show was a hit. As I recall, it was renewed this season and they are working on some sort of spinoff (Halo Bus maybe?).

I like the idea, though I doubt I'd watch the show.

So, is "DarkStar One" based on the John Carpenter movie? I'd like to try that game. "Bomb, you are not to detonate in the bomb bay... This is an order!"

Funny how there have been so few good Star Trek videogames, while there have been a lot of worthwhile Star Wars games. I guess it's because SW is more action oriented than ST.

I notice Star Wars game developers have also been more willing to invent characters and whatnot to suit the needs of the games. With Star Trek they tend to reuse the characters from the shows.

Anyway, here's hoping Legacy turns out well and leads to more Trek gaming.
