I hate it when my CC informaion appears on receipts. Hate hate hate hate it! Luckily, around here, it's usually just small ma and pa restaurants that still do this and doesn't happen enough to make me truly annoyed. But if a company as large as Apple is still doing this, then I would happily applaud people for taking it to court.
(Most) Attorneys do their best to cover all options and situations before bringing their cases to court (you don't want to piss a judge off). I am positive that these clients and/or their representing attorneys contacted Apple first regarding the CC information on the receipts, and got nowhere, maybe hundreds of times over.
Apple may have thought it was not a real issue or that they didn't need to listen. Or the right people in the company didn't get the information/complaints.
Yep. I did less homework and spent less time reading. I'd be a perfect example of that study.
But I still graduated from high school and college with high honors. Some of us possibly spend less time doing homework because we do it *faster* and remember things from class *better*.
Wiis are all but impossible to find in the Twin Cities area. I am hoping for a big drop in April since I will finally have the funds to buy one, so I hope that there's truth in DeMatteo's speculation.
I would just like to add that while the lot of you might be hating on the system for your various reasons, predicting it's downfall in the near future, I'll think of you fondly in a year or two when my friends and I are still rolling around on the floor, giggling and throwing wiimotes at eachother as we play the console's simplistic, yet stupidly fun games and I'll hope that you're just as bitter and crotchety as ever.
Have they fixed the transfer issues from last week? Weren't a ton of people stuck in limbo from the first wave of realm transfers?
It'd be nice if they could match up the original servers needing tranfers and the destination servers' time zones, but they haven't. Not a huge deal what with our global community that never sleeps, but it'd be nice.
Whether they're your sims or not, Sims 2 is a fantastic way of wasting time. I mean, I could waste hours just building houses and making new sims without even playing the actual game.
If I had Sims 2 on a flight, I would barely even realize I had spent any time on the flight at all.
Don't even bother talking to Jack. He's not worth the energy. Like Mike K. from PA said, he's nothing to be afraid of, just a bag of wild hot air. He LOVES the attention. It makes him feel good. We all know people like him.
Sure, he's an attorney, but you'd be shocked how many morons make it through law school and pass the bar (how, I don't know). He didn't even go to a top 20 law school... not even a top 100 school.
It's too bad he grabs so many headlines because he's smarter than the average American and more well-spoken Adam Sessler.
I love how he leaves out crucial nouns in his post.
Anyway... boo hoo about the Wii... who needs DVD playback in the Wii. IF you DON'T have a REAL DVD player by now, good lord! Go buy one! They work better and they're cheap these days!
I don't buy USED but I do wait about a year like the above bit states. The games I typically want to buy end up being greatest hits and I'm saving myself $30.00 a title if I wait til they hit that mark.
The games I go out and buy straight away for full price are games I'm afraid won't be very popular or do not have very many copies printed. I don't want to spend the next five years digging through a used bin, kicking myself for not buying a game for full price when it came out.

I think the hideous Blu Ray banner on top of the PS3 games is FAR worse. OKAY, I GET THE FRIGGIN' POINT. IT'S BLU RAY. WE DON'T CARE!
