Jilted Bob's Game creator fights back by littering

Feb 1st 2009 2:12PM (Joystiq)
I wonder if joystiq did this post because of the tip I sent them yesterday. Probably not.

ANYWAY.

This was a bit of a disappointment.I've actually been watching Bob for about a week now (not nonstop, not in person, I'm not crazy), having caught up on the whole 100-day Tensai sit down bit. I was actually pretty enthused, because I thought he had been fabricating a hatred of Nintendo for the story of his game. I had believed it would end up on X-BLAH, where I could then purchase and perhaps enjoy it. All in all, he seemed like he was running a very effective viral marketing campaign, up until this.

OH WOW WAIT WATCH THE END OF THE VIDEO.

Sorry, to continue, yeah, this kind of sucks, except for the end of the video, I didn't realize that he had managed that already.

Make short work of Mario Kart Wii's Grumble Volcano

3 and 4 are right, this is only useful on Time Trials or the second lap onward if you are lucky.

However, IT'S STILL ASSFEZERY!

Nah, just kidding, reminds me of the shortcut in Wario Stadium on MK64. Only that one was much more difficult.

You might find a $25 GameCube at Target

The real opportunity here is to duct tape a couple of gamecubes to your Wii, thus making it into Nintendo's next console before they even think of it! Right?

You're right, that is one amazing portrayal of Venom.

Actually, why isn't this post about the Venom Mii? That's one awesome Mii. I don't care if the election is more relevant, LOOK AT VENOM. Far more interesting.

....Venom for 1st black president okayI'llshutup.

Boxart Battle: Super Mario Galaxy vs. Pop!

I agree. What could Nintendo do, sue for infringement on their small, green planet? Or perhaps a red/yellow color scheme on a shroom? or perhaps the use of a RYGB sheme in the title? Even if they do sue, they're essentially giving the big F.U. to a third party developer. Despite the inconsequential loss of such a small caliber company, I think Ninty learned their lesson back in the N64 days.

Is Beyond Good & Evil 2 in production despite lack of approval from Ubi?

I wasn't absorbed at first either. It seemed to suffer from the bouncy, annoying design that kept me from liking Rachet and Clank or Jak and Daxter. Later on, though, it stops being focused around the god-awful combat sequences (although I'm sad to say that the final boss is a horrid experience) and begins to focus on stealth and puzzles, which is where the game really shines. Plus, collecting rare photographs was too much fun, at least for me. If you never reached an area that required stealth in the game, I implore you to go back and play until that point. Maybe then you'll like it some more.

Halo 3 video pays homage to Nintendo

You guys named most of them, I think. Aside from SSBB. Apparently music from Majora's Mask appeared in there at some point, but I don't remember a MM based joke.

Pretty interesting, but the lack of a reference to Metroid or Zelda was kind of odd.

Lost Winds and Pop are the only ones I'm really considering right now. Mostly Lost Winds, but I'll see how Pop does with the reviewers first.
