@Mr Hett: Are you posting from your iPhone4?

iPhone AT&T exclusivity lawsuit granted class-action certification, every AT&T iPhone customer included

@Calijoefornia: I might not be an expert in economic but with what little I know, having a monopoly isn't illegal. Abusing your power as a monopoly is illegal. Else, companies can potential be committing crimes by no action of their own. The first point is new to me though. With that in mind, I can see some reasoning to this suit.

This is absolutely stupid. There's nothing stopping you from taking your iPhone to T-Mobile when your contract is up. How is this any different from other phones that are released exclusively on one carrier. You can't sue someone for creating a monopoly.

Google's Larry Page: Steve Jobs is 'rewriting history' by saying Android came after the iPhone

@rocksox: You didn't see me disagreeing with your point that Android copied iOS, this is probably true. I just had to set the matter straight on the App Store comment.

@dyler: Well, there is record showing they targeted the market much earlier (as early as 2005). No one knows when Apple started work on the iPhone, so we can only go by what we know.

@Dusse: I see your point; however, you are making one mistake. Regardless of what Android looked like prior to it's release, it was targeting one market: smartphones. When you look at the smartphone market, it isn't divided into Blackberry-esque and iPhone-esque. Steve Job's comment "they decided to compete with us" would imply that Google targeted the smartphone market because of Apple, would in fact be incorrect given that Google decided to compete in the smartphone market (on record*) before Apple. Like I said, I do not dispute the fact that Google most likely copied the crap out of Apple's iOS. But Larry is taking about the business decision here.

@SolidSnake: iPhone4, where is the iPhone4. I need an iPhone4.

@Dusse: That's not Larry Page's point. He isn't making a point that Android didn't copy iOS's style. He means that Google didn't copy the idea of a smartphone OS from Apple, hence "characterization of us entering [the phone market] after is not really reasonable."

@rocksox: To educate you a little bit. Apple didn't come up with the idea of an App Store. The jailbreak community had one prior to Apple ever releasing an SDK. Apple simple jacked, I mean adopted, the idea.
