Honestly, I think it's all advertising. Barely anyone I know knew the movie existed, and the people who did were just vaugly aware of it. And the TV Spots didn't do a very good job at conveying the concept.

Not to mention it's hard to find a theatre that's playing it, so it was sort of doomed from the start.

I'm not too worried though, it's pretty much an instant cult-classic, so I think they'll make money back on Bluray/DVD and Merch (I want all those T-Shirts from the movie XD)

As mentioned before, this is still Edgar Wright's best selling movie for an opening week.

Honestly though, Transformers 2 is one the largest grossing movies of all time, I don't think the quality of the movie has too much bearing on these things.

This isn't a mega-blockbuster movie, this is a niche, fan-favourite, cult-classic movie, like Shawn of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, and Iess people saw those in theaters. I think Scott Pilgrim is doing just fine.

Though I wish there was more blue in the site, that was sort of part of the motif you had going. The black and yellow just makes it look too much like any other given gaming site.

Yeah, but since they teach you how to play the game, everyone will be inexplicably convinced the first 20 hours or so are a tutorial.
