You have some filtering controls in SCTD that allow you to ignore damage and healing up to a certain threshold, it's something like 500 or something, it does cut down on the spammy-ness of it tho.
I know it's hip and cool to like Portlandia. And that's fine. But to say something so throw away is better than the end of MASH or as epic as the end BSG and the Best of Both Worlds(Mr. Worf....FIRE!) is akin to comparing the atomic blast at Hiroshima to a bottle rocket.
Yeah he was. But from the perspective of game play. You spend you first three ships without the toys that escort captains get at captain. I don't think the sovereign even has a commander class boff slot
I have to say I'm enjoying it immensely. Energy Credits could be a bit easier to come by, but I spent 30 minutes the other night trying to decide whether I wanted to be reassigned to a Galaxy, Intrepid or Defiant class. I was in trekker heaven. I do have to say however, that the idea that Galaxy class ship would have a Lieutenant Commander for a Tactical officer is...I believe LUDICROUS is the word. It's barely better than my heavy cruiser, the main benefit seemingly the thicker shields.
But on the whole, it's great, something for everyone. If you wanna go be a mouse and explore you can do that, if you wanna be a badass you can do that, you can even be a bit of a diplomat if you want. And some of the player crafted missions have to be seen to be believed.
In my experience, tranq breaks you out of nourish spam, nature's swiftness is seldom worth the two globals it takes to use(in a crisis you NEED it to crit and it never does), and Swiftmend is a drop in the bucket if the tank is hanging by a thread. Compare this to a pally, priest and shammy who all have a very fast, very powerful heal. Meanwhile, druids have Regrowth, which while fast, has a lower healed amount because of the meaningless HoT tacked on.
Speaking as someone who has some difficulty in gearing(as much from RNG as anything really though). I'm more frustrated by the lack of craftable options passed the first tier of the expansion. My pally recently got the shield from Hour of Twilight and my guild thought I'd had a heart attack or something because I had be using the original crafted shield since about the 3rd month of the expansion. Nevermind the fact that I'm using a pvp sword for tanking since blizzard decided that tank weapons are Main Hand Maces and all the really interesting maces are One Hand Maces. Hell, I've been trying for that squiggly spine out of HoT for months and it hasn't dropped...and I'm babbling again.
All I'm saying is that easy gearing for those that care to raid is great, more power to them. But we need "progression" options available from crafters that don't require 80,000 gold to manufacture.
Did I mention the RNG hates me with as much passion as Lex Luthor hates Superman?

A joke is not funny if you have to think about it for more than 2 seconds.
