DS Daily: Old reliable

Ninjatown. Relatively short levels, cute design, and because I always forget how I won a certain level, it's easy to play any one level again.

That's some good news! I really like Dementium and am very much looking forward to Moon. Personally, I'm hoping they come up with another horror-like title.

The obligatory 'What did you get?' post

Nothing DS-related, sadly, but I was more than happy with the stack of 15 new books I got from my mum and boyfriend. ^^

DS Daily: Feet up? Let's chat!

Although I should love Lovecraft's work, being a hard-line horror fan (from the 18th century stuff up to and including modern fiction), I never was able to wrap my head around his writing... All I can say is, you're not alone. And you better pretend to enjoy it when conversing with hard-core Lovecraft fans ;)

I own a few game soundtracks, when they are really really good. Which, for me, means the entire Silent Hill series. :)

All DS accessories cheap(er) at Amazon

Hmmm... That Dura-case for holding both DS and a set of games is nice. Most of the protectors I can get over here don't really have additional card-room.

DS Daily: Pinching pennies

I tend to do a lot of research on the games I'd like and then import. The sites I use usually have the DS games for about half of what I would be in stores here, even when they first come out.

DS releases for the week of December 15th

Would make for a pretty good horror story, that's for sure... *starts writing*

DS Daily: Not so easy on the eyes

Dec 15th 2008 1:21AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I have to agree there, although not on the controls: once you get used to them, they aren't too bad. The music did it, though.

To stick with the topic, and the horror theme: Theresia. Although I love the story, and the drawing-cut scenes are very pretty, the general environment looks like an early version of Doom. Badly rendered 3D model. The drawings of the rooms, however, are great, but since you spent most of your time walking through the hallways, that doesn't help much.

DS Daily: How long do you give it?

Dec 4th 2008 1:24AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I always do a thorough check on games I am interested in and never randomly buy things. Given that, I do stick to the first 15 mins to see if gameplay and the way in which the story is told are as good as I expected.
