Yeah, not a chance I'm paying $50 for this. As a $20 XBLA game, I would have been sold on day 1. I don't want any extra game modes or remixes or anything - just the classic 2v2 with online play.

yeah, i'm not sure. What was weird was that I had my CD key, and the game showed as "Active" when I viewed my account on the account settings page. But until my order moved from "Queued" to processed or whatever, I couldn't actually log in to play. Of course, Blizz CS didn't respond to my emails about it until after the order was complete, so no useful info from them either.

release day digital download FTL. I bought SC2 via digital download, but my order was queued for about 3 days before I was finally able to login and play. During that time, there was no way to cancel the order either, so that I could have just gone to the store and bought a retail copy. Perhaps blizz wont have the queue problem with the WoW expansion, but I'm not going to take the chance.

In the case of the books and JC necklaces, or any BOE pattern, it would be nice if they had a system in which they could make the item BOP if you roll need on it, and BOE if you roll greed. This prevents ninja's from swiping these types of items for cash, as all they could do was vendor them. There are definitely some flaws in this idea, but im sure blizz could figure something out.

I think it's still too early to say. The initial PTR build had marks worth 2k honor, and mounts costing 50k honor, which made saving your 90 marks the better option.

The latest build has marks worth 185 honor, which would make buying them with marks before the patch the better option.

I would think the honor costs & mark to honor conversions will both go through a few more changes before the patch goes live. 2k seemed way too high, but 185 seems a bit low.

Personally, I think the mounts should be more around 25k honor, with tokens giving 250 honor a pop. This still makes it slightly better to buy them now, but not so much that you are severely penalized if you miss the patch by 10 marks or so.

i don't think they need to fight those people off. If someone wants to level 80-85 by only running dungeons, let them. It's how they want to play the game.

If they do anything, just require that you have the dungeon quests before you can queue for it. They can put a short chain in place to get the quests, so you'll at least have to go to the zone and do a few quests before you can queue for the instance.

In any case, I think that this may be a viable strategy to level the first month or two of the expansion, but after that, I think you'll probably find that the wait time for say, a level 82 dungeon, is too long, and that you'd be better off questing in between runs. No need to put in a bunch of hoops to jump through for a "problem" that will resolve itself naturally.

I'm more surprised that there are battlegroups where greed is still the norm. Within days of the Dungeon Finder hitting, pretty much everyone in my BG was rolling need, because it only took 1 person to wait to roll need after the rest of the party rolled greed. It didn't matter that nobody used frozen orbs for crafting anymore, and that they sold for 10g if you were lucky.
