@sweenish @arcaria Hmm.. I guess I mean, a console that is designed from the ground up with them in mind. I don't see the PS3/360 being ready for Blizzard's whole 'item house'. I'm having trouble thinking of an example that is handled 'quite well'. I check out the Playstation Store update each week, and there are pages and pages of .99 cent downloads for random JRPGs!

Anyone get the feeling this will come out on the next console generation when there is a built-in micro-transaction model?

@Ehker Seriously! I remember NES games where I was at the menu screen and my finger was still coming off the power button. I fired up Resistance 3 the other day for the first time and had to download 4 patches, and install the game which took almost an hour total!

Sweet, a new generation of firmware updates : )
