I can think of one reason: Porting a game to work on both consoles causes a mediocre product to be shipped. While we get products that were intended for greatness but nerfed down for profit these sleazy corporate assholes get rich. This is what you want?
Having a design limitation of another console is not good for cross platform games. I'd so much rather have exclusives the way they are intended than a game that works on both.
