Unreal Engine 4 to be seen 'later this year,' says Mark Rein
Feb 11th 2012 8:06PM (Joystiq)Hey, in 2005 a lot of computers barely had 512MB of RAM. When Vista came out in 2007 a lot of computers were just barely getting built with 1GB-1.5GB just to run it.

Feb 11th 2012 7:58PM (Joystiq)That was my point. We're right at the point where most console generations ended. "Long" would seem to indicate them continuing on for quite a while after that. If the PS4 and the next Xbox launch in 2013 it'll be a 6-7 year cycle, which I wouldn't call long if the average is only one year less than that.

Feb 7th 2012 12:28AM (Joystiq)Because, obviously, they don't have a single PR or social media employee. Duh! Everyone knows Nintendo only hires developers! They even have developers doing the accounting! Ever wonder who does their maintenance and janitorial duties? Developers, of course.
(Kidding, of course.)

Feb 7th 2012 12:13AM (Joystiq)I still think you could've come up with something better. Your joke is basically just like telling some elitist indie guy "oh please keep telling me how indie you are!" That isn't funny. Now saying, "If you're not indie, **** YOU!" is funny.
Apple removes dozens of clone games from App Store
Feb 6th 2012 11:09PM (Joystiq)Interestingly enough they do band some apps based on content, and do let some apps that violate their coding policies pass. Either their auto-check isn't that good, or there's a human involved somewhere. I'm pretty sure they'd also ban an app if it was based around illegal content.
They don't allow anymore fart-button style apps but they did let a C64 emulator get on only to go back and forth with the developer (remove it, let him put it back, remove it, etc.)

Feb 6th 2012 10:58PM (Joystiq)Sounded more like a petty insult than a joke.
I actually have a few friends who don't use Facebook, for various reasons. Some of them just don't get online enough to warrant having a Facebook account.
