of course this is all just speculation but i heard some rumors about using your old psp with a firmware update to transfer you umds to memory stick to use on psp 2.

doubt this will happen due to people making loads of copies, but they have to do some way to use your old umd games, otherwise it will be daylight robbery.

yea, memory sticks are getting quite cheap.
i think if this release does well it will confirm that the psp 2 without umd drive is coming out. hopefully, they are gonna do a 40GB hard drive in a similar way to the ipod

anyone else think this is revolutionary? think about it, if digital downloads are the future, this is the first game made released on umd in other territories thats been changed just for digital distribution. this is the first step.
plus i like you can still get the box while downloading the game

WARNING, this may not be true. the only information that SEGA has released is;

"Good things come in threes: 1-0-3-6-9"

So while this is the most likely thing sega will do i dont think its confirmed. eurogamer are just saying this because there is 1 or maybe 2 DLC packs in Asia with the above mentioned content and are just presuming this.

Perhaps at a stroke of genius Sony might be preparing a PSN console with just a hard drive. Could be under £100 and you can play burnout, warhawk, wipeout and loads of other popular psn titles.

They were looking for people to test a new games machine and psp2 was and is just a rumor, its not confirmed yet.
