Norwegian shops pull Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, and other games after tragedy

@SpookyApparition Thank you for taking the time to at least consider what i wrote :) Trust me, Norway is the last country in the world to censor or take away people's freedom of speech, this has nothing to do with that really, it's a horrible situation and it's their way of handling it right now. Not everything is about pointing fingers, if anything they're pointing fingers at themselves.

@baby sea tuna We're not rounding up MW2 or anything else either, this is one chain of grocery stores. It's as if Kmart decided not to sell these games. This is not a representation of Norway in any sense, it's merely (As I've stated a few times now and I should probably stop XD) this store acknowledging that they do not have the competence to help people who would have questions on the matter, or around video games.

Besides this is just a temporary callback in respect of the ones affected

@(Unverified) Actually, firstly if he is found to have acted violence against mankind (which I personally don't think and don't hope will happen (long story)) he could be in jail for 31 years. On top of that, after the 21, or 31 years he is kept in jail they will determine whether he is fit to join society again or if he's too dangerous, in which case he will be kept for 5 more years, then a new assessment will be made, and this can happen indefinitely. It's likely he will be kept in jail for the rest of his life, which I think we can all agree on is a good thing

@Marco le Polo A man in Norway went to our capitols government "street" and blew up a bomb there, after that he went to an island with a camp of teenagers discussing politics and killed 69 people, most of whom were teenagers between 15 and 25. He also cause serious damage to around 200 people.

Now this one chain of grocery stores, and another chain called Platekompaniet has decided to remove some violent video games temporarily in respect for the dead teenagers. Coop has also said that they wish to do this as they feel like they have a lack of competence when it comes to matters like video games.

This is just one grocery chain. We still have Gamestop, Game, Platekompaniet (Norwegian chain) and a few others selling games. I think people here misunderstand what's going on

I really can't blame them for doing this, here in Norway it isn't that normal for grocery shops to sell games anyway, they're simply acknowledging the fact that they don't have the proper competence to deal with games in a proper manner like gamestop would for example. It's not them saying games are killing people, but that if a mother would want to buy a game for her kid, she should go somewhere the staff would be able to answer her questions

Two new (super difficult) Spy Party maps in the works

This whole thing reminds me a lot of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood online, only that AC:B seems a bit more balanced and exciting. Nonetheless this is interesting ^^

Super Meat Boy WiiWare canceled, retail 'looking grim'

@RadioactiveQube It's not going to happen. They've said that the contracts they've signed excludes the possibility of making a PSN version >.
