Game prices are ridiculous in Europe. I was there last summer and here are some prices converted to $ that I saw, they were so bad they haunt me still:
Crysis - PC - $75 - Czech Republic (Tesco, kind of like Walmart)
COD4 - PS3 - $110 - Switzerland - Mall store
COD4 - PS3 - $104 - Germany - Best buy type store

Shag hit the nail on the head, I can't believe how much that series went downhill. Does anyone remember the Wheel of Time game released in the late '90s, it was a shooter on PC and it was actually pretty good.

So I guess this isn't a good time to get Sony to admit they have a serious problem with defective blu ray drives in PS3s?

My faith in Sony is at an all time low too. My PS3 won't read any discs and they want $150 to fix it even though I've only had it a couple of months over a year. Hopefully disc cleaners and dusters will do the trick...

I really wish they had released this at any other time and it would have done better, it's a fantastic game that combines a lot of different genres and well worth the full price (even though I was cheap and got it for $45 from a Circuit City sale). Plus it's the first game my wife has ever bugged me to play. I am curious about story differences in the Asian version, could anyone who has it say if there is English subtitles, maybe I will buy it twice.

Hey joystiq, it would be nice if you would also list the legitimate sales of these games (via retail/digital distribution) next to these torrent figures so we could see what the piracy rate really is. BTW, I am a paying PC gamer who also has a PS3 but I get games on PC whenever possible, I don't know why more people don't game on PCs since it's so much cheaper. Last week, here are some PC game deals I found and purchased: Tomb Raider: Underworld - $30 at amazon ($60 on PS3), Fallout 3 - $35 at CC ($60 on PS3), Crysis - $20 at Gamestop on Black Friday (not even available on consoles), Bioshock - $20 ($60 on PS3). My only problem is finding time to play all this stuff...

My wife will be very happy with this. Me, not so much.

Pretty sad that other people have to do EA's work for them. EA should at least have the decency to hire these people.

My pedal broke from what I would call normal wear and tear but Harmonix sent me a free replacement within a week so I really have no complaints.

Would it kill you guys to put PC games deals in your guide too? We do still exist...
