@einhanderkiller Verizon's showing in general was disappointing as hell. No Nexus One, no Incredible, no LTE in 1H 2010. Give us salvation!

I'm on the fence, I've got an RMA from HTC ready to go but aside from the 3G issue, I've enjoyed the device. On the flip side, I'm not confident that this will be fixed soon and feel compelled to return it. It's not like there's going to be any shortage of Android in the marketplace this year. What to do?

@Caprice0083 It's an unfortunate reality but what if you want to enjoy 3G in the US and abroad? Where is the solution for that?

The best hope seems to be with 4G and Verizon's use of LTE. It really doesn't seem like to much to ask that the largest US carrier would also have devices that are interoperable (nearly) worldwide.

I live in Erie, CO and if you look at T-Mobile's coverage in that area, it shows that there is 3G available throughout Erie and the surrounding landscape. I'm seeing my phone switch between full signal EDGE to 3G with anything from no signal to full signal. I really do enjoy this phone, but if I can't get consistent 3G coverage in an area where the carrier states there should be no problem, it seems like my hand is being forced.

I've only got twelve more days to determine whether this phone is going to be a workable solution for me. I hope that Google is able to resolve this issue because having a phone this capable with an inconsistent connection quite tragic. Please Google, don't let your customers down.

Oh no, I'm starting to think favorably about the HD2 and possibly using WM. CES, liberate me!

@(Unverified) Ok, I think I see what you're talking about now. Since Engadget doesn't review are less clinical, they're "uneducated." I appreciate the specificity on the site you mentioned but that's a pretty far gone conclusion.

The iPhone came up in the design and web browsing section. Since the most damning portion of the review was when the browsing was covered, I expected that's what motivated you to action. Now, instead of throwing expletives, maybe you could be more specific than "shoddy and uneducated?" I'm hoping others disagree with Josh's analysis but it hardly seemed inarticulate.

It's entertaining that feel this review wasn't critical *enough* of the device. You must be on Verizon's certification team?

@SParklingCYaNide Yeah, I'm hoping the still manage to blow my mind. This review really shook my confidence. I was expecting the display and the processor to be more of a shoo-in scenario and it comes across as an "aw shucks" moment. 1Ghz vs 550Mhz should be no contest and with the three devices lined up, the Nexus look like it's blushing.
