You're right. I drive 90 miles per day round trip to work, all freeway. Even then, the 5mpg difference comes out to barely $20 a month.

Better still, if you don't want the Sport package this thing starts well over a grand less than the Fiesta hatch, and it's made in Japan, not Mexico.

This would make sense if Nissan didn't already have a half-dozen 4cyl. engines in-house to choose from. The 2.5 from the Altima/Sentra SE-R would work. Or hell, resurrect the SR20DET.

This game is 3GS and latest gen 32/64GB iPod Touch *only*. It will not run on older iPhones or iPod Touches.

When the new car in question is identical to an existing American model from the C-pillar forward, those hoops are very small indeed.

But at least Acura giveth and not taketh away (see: IS300 SportCross).

Because the Golf isn't being cross-shopped against those cars; those are sedans. It's being cross shopped against the Mazda 3, Impreza, and Matrix - all of which return worse highway MPG than the Golf save the base Matrix. And unless I'm mistaken, the Golf is also the most powerful NA hatchback on sale in North America.

People don't buy the Golf because it's speedy - that's what the GTI is for. They buy it because they specifically want a hatch under 20k.
