A copy of Animal Crossing strangely enough. It might keep me from going mad.

Classic controller vs. SNES controller

Nov 30th 2006 5:57PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
By plugging it into the Wiimote, the Classic Controller is wireless via Bluetooth. If it didn't plug into the Wiimote, the bluetooth features would need to be built into the classic controller, likely making it $40 instead of $20. It keeps the controller as an affordable accessory. With all the griping about the costs of the controllers, we should be happy that the Classic Controller is cheap.

Personally, I have no problem plugging it into the Wiimote. The Wiimote just sits next to me on the couch. It's a non-issue. Also, the controller itself is extremely comfortable.

Groupthink and Zelda

The game is averaging about 96% on Gamerankings for all the reviews combined. It's a shame that people are getting so upset about one review.

Boo! Scariest moments in gaming history

Oct 31st 2006 12:21PM (Joystiq)
I've got two:

The first was in Resident Evil, when the dog crashed through the window and started chasing you.

The second was Eternal Darkness, which had many moments, but the best were the random noises, suddening yelling, as whispering that went on as you got more and more insane.

Wii to sell 5.75 million units by end of March 2007?

Still, that means a large drop in Sony's console market share and a large gain for Nintendo's. This would be a much better result than the GameCube.

Touch Generations sell 3.5M units, old people got game

Oct 12th 2006 10:05PM (Joystiq)
"Shovelware" or not, the DS is the fastest selling system worldwide at the moment, so lots of people disagree with the notion that the DS library is filled with garbage.

Myself, I'd go for "gimmicky" games that are at least trying new ideas over rehashed WWII games any day.

Survey shows Japanese devs are all about the Wii [update 1]

....yeah....

The term "Jap" is pretty racist, at least here in North America. I would cut that out.
