And once again, it's completely unavailable to people in the Midwest.

They won't sell me a Leaf. They won't sell me a Volt. They won't sell me a plug-in Prius.

And then they'll say it's because there's no demand here.

I went with a set of Nokian eNTYRE on my Prius.

So far I'm very impressed with these tires. Much more sure-footed in the rain than the Goodyear's they replaced.

You guys have still never looked at Notebooks. After trying out darn near everything else in your list, I settled on Notebooks and never looked back. For sheer ability to pack in text and organize it, that's the champ.

Yes, 'cause God knows what the US needs is cheaper corn. Then we could use it to make the other 2% of our food that not already made out of corn.

I've been burning 10% ethanol in my cars for more than 15 years. It always amuses me to see the consternation with which it's greeted in new areas, and all the people claiming that their car doesn't perform. I heard it all here... and then, as soon as people stopped thinking about it, the complaints disappeared. I've run vehicles as diverse as my '72 Mustang Cobra Mach 1, a '79 RX-7, various small hatchbacks, a decrepit Datsun pickup, and a '04 Prius. Careful bookkeeping did see as much as a 5% drop in mileage in the older cars... but then, they're also pretty old cars and I can't promise that the difference wasn't at least partly aging (the ponies have leaked from my old pony car at a pretty steady rate).

Performance wise, I didn't drop so much as a tenth of a second at the changeover. And if there have been any maintenance issues over that time, they haven't been noticed. I did have to put a new set of seals put in the RX-7 engine recently, but I think that's probably true of anyone trying to keep up a 30 year old rotary, no matter what the fuel.

I see one in person every day -- reserved spot next to mine in the company parking lot. And it's no less hideous with repeated viewing.

The car is simply unbalanced and ungraceful.

I've been writing chapters of my latest book using notebooks and iAWriter on the iPad. It would definitely be nice to know they're securely saved.

Darn it, the cars I want are always a two or three years out (or the companies refuse to sell them in my area, like Leaf, Volt, etc).

I've been holding onto my mid-90s Protege, waiting for something that really intrgues me, but with problems piling up, I'm going to have to bail soon. I hate to buy another plain old gas-driven car.

Looks like a mating of an old RX-7 and a new Mazda 3.

Why is seemingly every concept car these days done up in some shade of orangey-brown? This part of the spectrum wouldn't look good on a Jaguar E-type, much less... this.
