I wonder how much their sales would increase if they decided to release Monster Hunter Tri G on the Wii instead of the 3DS, knowing that most of the MHT owners might end up buying it since they already have the system. But seeing as to how Nintendo wants to boost those 3DS sales it does make some sense.
I wished that this was the Mht that came out on the Wii. At the very least my smallest pipe dream is that they make MHT-G for Wii also. I missed the DS and Bow and the great variety of monsters that were there in other MH games.
As many have already said here, freemium games do tend to ruin the immersion and feel of the game. It would truly suck if you're playing Zelda or another JRPG and all of a sudden you get a pop up in the corner about McDonalds new cheeseburger. However, if the ad was implemented into the game's environment (probably in a modern environment with billboards as such) I don't think it would truly obstruct the gameplay, for example in games such as GTA utilizing ads by making them part of the game as in placing them in logical locations i.e billboards or the posters and newspapers, I believe that it would make the game more "realistic" .
On another note, I do hope that he doesn't intend on subscriptions for games such as Monster Hunter (Quad :D?), speaking of which if it did come out for the Wii U I hope the game engine gets an update, not that it's not good enough... I just want to see the monsters in awesome detail :D
@Mehbah I agree I would honestly like to see a game that is ported from the PC to consoles, If they are able to run it well on PC's then they should just go with it and release it on the PC. It would also be interesting since PC users seem to get the short end of the stick nowadays.
