Is it just me or did WoW completely fuck up the MMO genre?

Just pre-ordered and this was in the email they sent afterwards:

So I assume if you pre-order, you're in beta.

Has anyone mentioned having to sign up for Window Live to play multiplayer?

Don't be so quick to point the finger. Knowing Jack Thompsons previous threats, and that the PARENTS contacted him, instead of vice versa, be prepared for a reason for his disappearance shrouded by a "IT WAS THE VIDEOGAMES" story

Thank god a company who made the worst sequel to a game (KoToR 2), and made the worst release to a game (NWN2) is developing this game...

I'm as excited about Obsidian developing this game as I am about Jack Thompson books...

At least there is hope with the FPS.

Should be titled "Boardroom Guys: Let's not fuck up this Fallout MMO"
