I've got a friend who can't say anything right, and just sort of makes stuff up, I think, when he says stuff out loud. Some of his best goofs: Orgrimmar becomes Ah-Grim-Ear Carnelian becomes Carneline, and in Trade Chat if he doesn't link it, he spells it like he says it. But the best? Ultraxion becomes "Ultatraxon". Which, when we're raiding with any number of pugs, even one, and he says that "Okay, Ultatraxon is doing X ability!" vent goes silent and the pug says "...who?"
Yesterday, when the new SoR was available, my friend sent one to a trial account he had made a while back for the purposes of RaF multi-boxing. He had never spent money on the account, and never plans to buy a subscription for it. He used the SoR to boost the only character on his account, a level 12 warlock, to 80, and plans to then use the $25 to account-transfer the character. My questions: Isn't this, sort of, buying a new character? And is this anything near bannable? I can see Blizzard saying that it isn't being used as intended. Also is this now an option, make a trial account, wait a month, SoR and Account Transfer for a free 80? Thanks!
I don't really get how the free-to-play people can demand that Valve ban the mod, such as they're doing. I mean, it's like, what are they gonna do, spend less money than free? Boycot it? They don't really hold any leeway.
They're using the Warped Tour now? Anyone remember the Nintendo Fusion Tour? I guess that just wasn't profitable for them. Too bad, that's where I first played a Wii and saw some pretty okay bands.
I wish they would put game saves on the SD card instead. It just seems like that would leave them more room on the cartridge to put game stuff, and then you wouldn't have to worry about non-erasable data. But I can see why they're sticking with On-cartridge save data.
Calling Hydreigon a water dragon, showing off an unusable AR marker for a Pokemon that's default in the download, calling the new 3DS Paper Mario a port of the first one... Background research takes a bit of a back seat around E3, huh? No problem at all, keep that current content rolling, Joystiq!
See, that's all well and good about what Nethaera said back in 2006, but then Blizzard went and added in http://www.wowhead.com/npc=30381#comments (Xarantaur, the witness), who says "I was one of the first tauren druids, of the last generation taught by Shan'do Cenarius, before the legion, before the sundering, when the world was still young. Before everything changed." Which implies that there were Tauren druids before him, and well before the Sundering, while Malfurion only began to learn Druidism a few weeks before the Sundering. He goes on to say that Cenarius left the Tauren and they began to forget Druidism, which may lead to the discrepancy between who learned it first. Blizzard's rewritten lore before. Not saying this definitely means Tauren were the first, but it makes a good argument.
