Sony: PSP Go 'experiment' revealed consumers' love of physical media

Jun 8th 2010 4:26PM (Joystiq)
Also the PSP Go has a brighter screen and has far better and louder audio.
Not saying it's a masterpiece and that it hasn't been marketed absolutely horribly, but it still is worth pointing out that the PSP Go does have at least a couple of good things going for it.

First screens of Platinum's Vanquish aren't doing it for us

Oh, I should have re-read that. My bad.

No, it's not that people want innovation, it's that people want what they think is innovation, which isn't always actual innovation.

I think you should re-read what you read.

Meh, I've already played it in Japanese, and it's alright but quite disappointing really. IV, V and VI are all better.

Guinness World Records 2010: Gamer's Edition out today

I really love Treasure's shmups (and games in general), but the whole "Most critically acclaimed 2D shooter dev" thing is a bit unfair, since a lot of the best shooter only ever came out in Japan, or are only in arcades (or both).

Sega 'probably not' making more hardcore Wii games

I was disappointed by MadWorld, especially considering it was made by the God Hand developers. Style was the main thing it had going for it. One thing that pissed me off, though, is the way reviewers seemed to think it was aimed at kids/teens who think it's cool to play "mature" games - a lot of people seem to think this about Bayonetta as well.

Nice to see Muramasa and Might & Magic (even if it was barely a Might & Magic game) on there. I disagree on Retro Game Challenge (I don't see the appeal) and Scribblenauts (didn't give me an incentive to actually use my imagination), though.
