Oct 8th 2009 7:53PM (Joystiq Xbox)
They're considering charging for special avatar dances, nothing is surprising on Marketplace anymore.

Fighter cut from UFC 2009 because of ... his hair?

Kos' hair is just a little frizzy on top, Clay's flops around in front of his face. His hair would have to move to be in the game and if you punched his hair it would register a hit.

Fighter cut from UFC 2009 because of ... his hair?

This is part of what I find utterly ridiculous about this game and I'm glad at least some of the problems with Undisputed are beginning to get some coverage. There's the quitting problems then there's the issue of balancing realism with the fact that his is a video game.

Take for instance flash ko's or the fact that you can't do a fighter vs fighter match. Of course you can't because that wouldn't be realistic, however there are no southpaws in the game and no one can switch fighting stances. This was also another issue with the collision detection system. You see the same "hair" issues with fighter Evan Tanner, who at the time of his recent passing was sporting a sweet beard and regularly had long hair but not in this game, and with the create a fighter system.

Part of Microsoft's Gamerscore Blog team let go

Jan 23rd 2009 3:59PM (Joystiq Xbox)
Well it's not that post count is the only overall contribution made, but being out there and actively in the community via GSB is a huge part of it. Working with and helping certain folks behind closed doors is hardly "building a community".

Also a lot of the other content contributed by that team was video, I don't know anyone who really watches those videos. I've never even see an inside the xbox segment except for once on youtube. GSB in terms of the blog, which is ironic that they're referred to them as the GSB team as actually blogging was rare, was supposed to be a place for the community to visit to get updates and info from inside MS. It's not a team if one person does all the work.

As for who that is, go back a read from summer on and it's pretty obvious who it was and at what point they started to be phased out.

Part of Microsoft's Gamerscore Blog team let go

I find it odd that this makes the news. I guess it's somewhat relevant but it was mainly one person who contributed all of the content on Gamerscoreblog. That person was let go last month, no mention of that.

Would someone who contributes a one or two paragraph post every 5 days on fanboy be considered relevant in any way? I doubt it, they would not be missed.

Fanswag: Win Gears of War 2 and a pile of swag!

I think it would be cool to have a gun with the roomba thing but the one that cleans floors not just vacumes. I think that's called a scuba, or scooba. So after you splatter someone this robot comes out and cleans up the mess.

While it's awesome to splatter someone's brains all over the place, in games, you've got to think that someone's cleaning that up later. I don't care if it a a post-apocalyptic world, if the good guys win at some point it's got to be cleaned. Save some time and trouble, make a gun that cleans.

CoD: World at War beta now on the XBLM

Great. Now more people can say ridiculous things on the interweb like "I'm a beta tester".
