Mar 24th 2012 10:53PM (Joystiq)As a film major I can tell you right now that a film would be do-able... but than more than likely It would not live up to your exspectations.
either they would try to copy the game 1:1 and you would have a person that would say almost nothing and have little to no interaction that could devlop him as a person (lets face it Bioshock is more about Rapture than the person you are controling. Lets face it films about locations cannot have a narrative)
So they could adapt the game to be more about the man that you are in control of. You would probably see more about his back story "pre-rapture" and some how connect that with his exsperinces in Rapture... by adding in or remaking one of the people in the game.
I mean it could be worse could be m night shyamalan, or Mike Newell directing it
Mass Effect 3 player feedback spawns 'content initiatives,' details in April
Mar 21st 2012 4:47PM (Joystiq)first Westwood Studios and now Bioware...
Really I want to like ME2 and ME3 but every time I even look at them all I can see is incredibly elaborate schemes to take the max amount of money from the consumer and dumbing down the artistic integrety of the games so that a wider array of consumers can consume on a already profitable series.
I mean they are DLC traps, want to know what happened buy the DLC, want a better ending buy the DLC and want more charaters but the DLC.
It is getting to the point where the game it self is no longer including all of the nessasary point for the plot thus forcing the consumer to spend $30-$50 extra on a $50-$60 game.
Mass Effect one was a very succesful game, so succesful that it really was not nessasary to change the gameplay in the second one to streamline everything... and take away most of the genuine feeling of the game and the completeness of the package you pay for.
