Samsung's Yepp YP-T9 with Bluetooth hits FCC

Jul 1st 2006 12:37PM (Engadget)
bob that was a joke right cuz that was possibly one of the most stuck up fanboyish posts ive seen in ages lol

this does look pretty sexy but i agree that the ugly "yepp" should be removed. shove that crap on the back or something, the front is all about the features, not about the brand ;)

Rumor: PS3 hardware "slow and broken"?

Jun 5th 2006 4:19PM (Joystiq)
Would everyone back off this guys balls? And how many times does it need to be repeated: THIS IS A FCKING BLOGGING SITE, the ENTIRE point is for the bloggers to give some facts about something and then state an OPINION about it, quirks, knocks, and jokes included. If you don't like the Joystiq writers' opinions, do everyone else a favor and go make your own blogging site and bitch about Joystiq is so wrong or biased or whatever the fck else and leave it out of the comments section here because NOONE CARES. The comments section is meant to stir up a little controversy and for people to post something at least HALF educated, not to flame Joystiq staff for doing what the PURPOSE OF THIS SITE IS.

..So anyways, the mere fact that the INquirer bears a similar name to The ENquirer should give a clue that the stories should be taken with a grain of salt.. The ENquirer isn't exactly known for printing 100% legit stories..

"Demanding a degree of quality and relevance isn't such a sin, my friends. The New York Times is a newspaper that reports "news." That doesn't mean its readers don't expect a certain degree of professionalism and relevance."

hence the fact that joystiq is a BLOGGING site.....

Xbox 360 DVD firmware hacked

Mar 19th 2006 9:03PM (Joystiq)
#2..Obviously you just don't get it...Usually, there is no good/important reason to hack something other than to hack it. Plain and simple. Haven't you heard of all of these linux fanatics putting linux on every single electronic item you can think of, including (but not limited to) toasters? There is no rhyme or reason behind it, there isn't supposed to be, that's what makes it hacking. Yea, so this hack doesn't help the homebrew community and the only thing it could probably ever be used for is playing backups, WHO THE HELL CARES? Microsoft made a big mistake this time around by making the firmware insecure like that, and someone was bound to discover this eventually. TheSpecialist didn't do it to promote/support playing backups, he did it as proof of concept, he did it because he COULD do it. That makes him a great hacker.

just my 2 cents :o)

Hands on with the Nintendo DS Lite

Feb 28th 2006 10:16PM (Engadget)
Funny story..This reminds me of when i was about 9 years old and was just exploring AOL and the internet for the first time :X..anyways long story short I had a game boy color and was mad that I had to use a stupid little light to play in the dark, so I sent an email to Nintendo asking them if they could make a game boy with a backlight and if they did, send me a free one since I came up with the idea (remember, I was 9 years old at the time lol)...their reply was something along the lines of "a backlight in a game boy is not a very real possibility due to the battery needs of such a device and the amount of money it would cost the buyer" whats up with that, one of the next game boys that came out was back lit, jeeez. Nintendo if your reading this i want my backlit game boy ;)
