Jan 6th 2012 1:02PM (Joystiq)There are things I love about Japanese games and things I love about Western games. Games like Bayonetta, Demon's / Dark Souls, and pretty much every Nintendo game ever made show that you can make games that appeal to a global audience while keeping their Japanese-ness.
That's where I want Japanese studios to go--not making half-assed copies of Western games. (I'm not sure that's happening on a wide scale yet, but I do get worried sometimes.)
