HeroEngine licensing takes off thanks to SWTOR's success

Feb 27th 2012 10:48AM (Massively)
The "Hero Engine" sucks balls. How long did jedi knight jedi academy come out? Back then they had it so the lightsabers didn't clip the walls. 2011, we have clipping and can run through each other.

@Dashx747

The company was at fault because the original complaint was because the guy was charged money and then had to wait 3 months for his controller.

The Guild Counsel: Does SWTOR need a better LFG tool?

Jan 3rd 2012 10:31AM (Massively)
This article is spot on. Yes SWTOR needs a better tool to look for people but NOT the full auto method like WoW. Currently I spend a little time on the fleet looking for people for a group when I want to run a flashpoint. When I do find people and have a group, NOT ONCE have the people been jerks or abandon a group in the middle even when we wipe. We say hello to each other, ask if anyone's done this, ask for tips, and at the end we thank each other for the group and time. This is because everyone has invested time to form/get invited to this group. They want to make it happen before giving up. This is how community forms.
I recently joined a guild because one member from this guild saw that I had 2 people but couldn't find 2 more for this flashpoint. He offered to run us. I thought it was very nice of him and want to join his guild.

MechWarrior Online rolls out the '12 Catapult

Jan 3rd 2012 10:14AM (Massively)
@avidlurker

The Timberwolf (aka MadCat by the Inner Sphere) is a clan mech. At the current time, the clan invasion has not begun yet. The Inner Sphere has not seen the Timberwolf yet and totally outclasses the Catapult in all areas. It's heavier, more heavily armored, faster, has more weapons, and has better weapons.

The Inner Sphere called it the MadCat because it looks like a mix between a Marauder and a Catapult.

@ScottishViking

The issues should have be resolved now. However we don't know if they will use the forbitten mechs.

BioWare: Mac version of Star Wars: The Old Republic is something it's 'looking at next'

Jan 3rd 2012 9:57AM (Massively)
They should focus on fixing bugs and polish instead of spending time on a Mac client. People on Macs can use bootcamp if they want to play. Graphic drivers are better on the Windows operating system anyway so people will get better performance.
